Cedarville University’s School of Pharmacy will graduate its first doctoral class of 48 students in just a few days. The program, which is nearing full accreditation, was simply a hope 10 years ago.

Keegan D’Alfonso is a 25-year-old freshman at Cedarville University. He works once a month at a nearby Speedway gas station and studies journalism full time. Though he works a low-paying job, D’Alfonso will pay nothing for his degree, nor will he pay much for healthcare and housing in the next few years.

Cedars asked Cedarville students, regardless of their home state or voting eligibility, to weigh in on the 2016 presidential election. According to poll results, Cedarville students predominantly identify as Republicans, and students are most concerned about the economy during this election year.

Kasich, Clinton Win Ohio

Republican presidential candidate and Ohio governor John Kasich won his home state Tuesday in Ohio’s primary election with 46.1 percent of the vote at 11 p.m., awarding him all of the state’s 66 delegates. Several national news outlets called the victory just before 8:45 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Primary Election Guide

Registered voters across Ohio will cast their ballots Tuesday, March 15, in the state’s primary election. Polls are open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters must bring a form of identification to their polling place. Individuals who will be age 18 or older by Nov. 8 are eligible to vote in Ohio, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

The nation met Cedarville alumnus Brian Johnson ’12 nearly a year ago in season eight of NBC’s “The Voice.” Since then, Johnson has led worship throughout the nation – opportunities he said he never thought were possible. And now, Johnson and his wife, Kellie, are preparing for the birth of their first child, a son to be named Ryland James, according to a recent Instagram post.

You skim Twitter and Facebook, catching the breaking news and click-bait stories composed of cats and GIFs. You may “like” or “favorite” the post, but odds are you do so without reading more than the story’s headline. |
Purity and Redemption

Purity: the word may make you squirm. Physical purity, modesty and the like are emphasized at a young age, perhaps more so for tween and teen girls than for boys.
